Sandy Madar
Born on March 27, 1987, in Paris, France, Sandy Madar relocated to Israel in 2012, where she practices painting. After earning a Master’s in Financial Mathematics from the University of Paris Dauphine, the 2010 financial crisis derailed her career plans, prompting her to pursue financial independence through real estate—a profession she continues today.
Despite professional success, Sandy faced profound loneliness and an existential crisis in 2019. Turning to art as a form of healing, she taught herself through social media and workshops led by painter Drora Wiezman. Inspired by Van Gogh, Georges Mathieu, and Pissarro, Sandy’s work aims to convey courage, hope, and vitality, placing art in service of life.

Finding Her Artistic Calling
For Sandy Madar, the journey into art began with the encouragement of those around her. “The feedback from people, the compliments that came unexpectedly, showed me I was in the right place,” she shares. Sandy’s artistic style has matured over time, blending abstract and figurative elements. “Abstract painting brings joy and positivity into people’s lives, while figurative work helps me heal and express deep emotions,” she explains. Not every piece is met with the response Sandy expects. “Sometimes I think a painting will resonate, but it doesn’t. Other times, the ones I doubt get unexpected praise,” she reflects. These experiences have taught her to prioritize her inner voice. “The key is to paint what your soul wants, not what others expect.”

Sandy believes that every artist has a unique signature. “The more you know yourself, the more your uniqueness will shine,” she says. She advises emerging artists, "Stop thinking and just do it. Doubts will always be there, but courage is what drives progress.”
